ABOUT ME

My name Allan Lee (Hon Kwan Allan Lee), I was born and raised in Hong Kong. Hong Kong with Chinese and English listed as its official language, I went to La Salle Primary School and La Salle College both of which are english-medium local school. Now, my family and I have now moved to London ever since I started studying in Imperial College London.

My passion for engineering started when I was in primary school with Lego NXT, children STEM kit. Initially it was just a side hobby, it never really crossed my mind that I would be that interested in becoming an engineer. Progressively, I started self-learning C++ when I was 12.

Currently studying Biomedical Engineering in Imperial College London. My research interests lie at medical device for analysation of biosignal, and also bionic prothesis.

Hobby and Interest

I am very active and outgoing. I have joined various sports throughout my primary school and secondary school. From football, rugby, table tennis to basketball. My favourite sport of all is Fencing, I have been playing fencing when I was at 8, I have been the member of the schools fencing team throughout primary to university. My passion in driving change for the student body and consistent devotion to the school have led me to be elected in various student committee positions in secondary school and university.

In 2016-2017, I was elected as the Treasurer of the 42nd La Salle College Student Association. Watching over an accumulated fund of £55,000, and also being the chairman of the Finance Committee. The La Salle College Student Assocaition organised various activities from talent shows, proms etc. One of my biggest achievement during my office as the treasurer, was creating multiple computer programmes to effect a fluent and smooth flow in the Extra-Curricular activities promotion fair along with prom cloakroom security system and product purchase and distribution system, to that point I was determined that I would like to be an engineer.

In 2018-2019, I was elected as the Treasurer of the Imperial College London Bioengineering Society, which I refined a more transparent online platform for society memberw to understand the society's financial situation. This academic year 2020-2021, I would be taking up as the Treasurer of City and Guilds College Union, handling £100,000 in transactions for Imperial Engineering Student Union of four thousand students for planning of campus-wide events and also overlooking £600,000 from 8 departmental societies(Department of Computing Soceity, Bioengineering Society, Chemcial Engineering Society etc).
